Aktia takes out a policy against wasted time

Any company in the insurance industry handles enormous amounts of documents every day, and Aktia is no exception. In order to save time and money, manual document handling is now replaced by MultiArchive with Scanning and Workflow.

The Finnish insurance company Aktia Vahinkovakuutus Oy is part of the Aktia Group which offers a broad range of solutions within banking, asset management, insurance and real estate. The insurance company employs 190 people and has an annual turnover of 70,1 million €.

From being an amalgamation of local savings banks, the Aktia Group has developed into Finland’s second-largest Finnish-owned financial group and operates mainly in coastal areas, in the Helsinki region, and in inland growth areas.

The insurance company has completed a scanning project in close cooperation with Multi-Support. The goal was to strengthen processes and management of different kind of paper forms: personal information forms, wage statements, insurance applications, change notifications, and the like. All forms are now available in a shared company archive and the result is a lot of time and money saved compared to handling paper forms manually! The solution serves from 25 to 100 users daily.

By implementing MultiArchive, Aktia has gained substantial advantage saving time and money, and at the same time preparing the company for future growth. The company and the users were so impressed with the initial results that Workflow has already been added to their MultiArchive-solution, and is now an important element in the document handling process.
